Directional Entertainment, LLC, is a full service production company located in
the Los Angeles area of Southern California. We are dedicated to making films that are Socially
Conscious. Over the
past five years the company has worked with youth in the inner city in the
Greater City of Los Angeles. Directional Entertainment is currently developing
a full length feature film, entitled "THE GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER
TOLD", that is a loose adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet". This hip-hop musical will introduce a revolutionary aural
and pictorial model that will reinvent the way in which movies will be shot and stories will be
told. The
importance of the film is the
social aspect of the recent violence between African Americans and the Latino community. Directional Entertainment believes that making
a film about unconditional love is one way to address the issue. Directional Entertainment is also in the
process of developing a network television series entitled "BLACK
BALL." This series
centers around the importance of Negro League baseball just after World War II,
and its influence on the Civil Right Movement and societal views regarding
race. Additionally, Directional Entertainment is working to adapt the best selling novel "THE BROKEN
CIRCLE" into a feature release. It is hoped that this project will be a collaborative effort with the Navajo Nation to tell the story of a
brutal act of racist violence that occurred in northern New Mexico in 1974. The act and its' subsequent fallout was a
major benchmark in the
Native American Civil Rights movement, and the echoes of the event still
reverberate in the present day. Directional Entertainment is very passionate about
developing this incredible story.
